Drizilik Live In London at Clapham Grand
It will be the Kriofusion artist's first concert since debuting at Club Hollywood
Drizilik, the breakout star of Freetown's music revival, is returning to London on November 15 for his first concert there since 2019. The Shukubly singer will be headlining a star-studded show at the 1250-capacity Clapham Grand in Clapham, South London. Known for his captivating live performances, Drizilik is a Kriofusion artist equally influenced by Sierra Leone's goombay, bubu, milo jazz, and music from the global black diaspora. His exceptional songwriting skills, infectious one-liners, and profound krio cultural metaphors on his award-winning album "Shukubly" have earned him the title of Sierra Leone's king of new school music.
Drizilik's versatility as a rapper and singer and his unmatched delivery have resulted in several chart-topping singles and collaborations. Some of his popular tracks include "Vote" and "Ashobi" featuring Idris Elba, as well as "Move Right" with BAFTA winner Big Zuu. Having graced stages from the iconic Howard Theatre in Washington D.C. to Lagos, Drizilik has graced notable musical stages such as YouTube's Africa Day Concert, Madeng Festival, Gambia Music Festival, and Hull City's Freedom Festival.
The highly anticipated show at the Clapham Grand will be Drizilik's biggest concert to date, but he's no stranger to British audiences. Drizilik was a guest artist at Labrum's SS2023 Collection at London Fashion Week at 180 Strand. He's also enjoyed amazing support from BBC radio over the years through feature interviews and releases, which has introduced him to the U.K. music scene.
"We're excited to bring Drizilik's amazing talent to London's Clapham Grand. Sierra Leone music is thriving, and Drizilik is leading its global stages, first D.C., now London," said Vickie Remoe, publicist and concert producer.
For those interested in beating the queue, a limited number of early bird tickets to Drizilik's show at the Clapham Grand are now available for £25 before taxes and fees from the Clapham Grand website, Dice, and Eventbrite.
